2014 Waris-Larmandier Brut Nature Les Bauves, Grand Cru 750ml

Located in New York

$189.00

SKU 185859 Category
This is another chalk-rich lieu-dit from the Cramant Grand Cru, 1/2 a hectare and a family heirloom of a vineyard, planted by multiple generations of the Waris family starting in 1962 and ending with the late Vincent Waris in 1998. It is a special place for the family and probably the most complex flavor-profile of the quartet, showing excellent brioche, cream, Meyer lemon, and hazelnut flavors balancing the chalky mineral notes and vibrant acidity that gives this wine excellent lift. This is long, intense, flavorful and downright tasty right now; the aromatics are not as developed yet, as one gets more of the white stone and talcum notes, and the citrus emerges with time. This should develop even better with time!
