This rule-breaking Italian sparkling can only be called Vino Frizzante even though the grapes are hand-harvested from the northern-most reaches of the Conegliano and Valdobiaddene hills of the Prosecco production zone. Back in the day, before Glera became the grape of choice for Prosecco DOC, the fizzy wines from the foothills of the Dolomites would be blends. The grapes are sustainably grown on mineral, glacial soils, giving this Brut-style Frizzante a zingy palate of pear, apple and spice.
